About Us

 Instructors at Mason Dixon Firearms Training are Qualified Maryland Handgun Instructors, NRA Certified Instructors , USCCA Certified Instructors, Certified Range Safety Officers.  We have a strong background in firearm safety, instruction and live fire training. Our classes are designed for everyone from the person that has never owned or operated a firearm, to the person that has been shooting their entire life. Our goal is to have everyone that takes our class leave with the mindset, knowledge, skills and safety required to be comfortable using, handling and  carrying firearms. We accomplish this goal by going well beyond the minimum requirements set forth by the state of Maryland to obtain a Handgun Qualification License and Wear and Carry Handgun Permit. We will give individual attention to all students necessary to meet this goal.

This class helped expand my knowledge and skills for shooting handguns. Jesse was patient and took the time to correct my grip and show me proper hand holds. I can use what he taught me to practice proper grip on my own. I look forward in taking more training from Jesse in the future.

This was an excellent CCW refresher. Mr. Jesse Greer is a first-rate instructor, and ensures that everyone in the class is comfortable with not only the firearm they bring, but several others including pisotls, shotguns, and rifle safe-handling. I took the second half/second day of the 16 hour course for the refresher portion, and I could tell that students retrained the knowledge from the previous day's instruction. Jesse has a variety of tools at his disposal. The most popular seemed to be the dry fire and laser drills. His presentation of safety, law, and defensive awareness was easy to follow. When we were down range, Jesse took the time to personally review each student's stance, gripe, and other fundamentals of shooting, and worked with students to improve sight alignment, grip, and trigger pull. Over the course of 1 hour, I watched a student's target go from looking like it was hit with a 12guage to nearly dead-center on two-inch cirles at seven yards, and decent grouping at 10yards. I definitely recommend Mason Dixon Firearms Training to those in the Harford and Baltimore County, Maryland, area for CCW and refresher training but, really to anyone in the region. Definitely will contact Jesse in the future.

Top notch outstanding instructors. Highly recommend using Mason Dixon. Due to the lead instructors depth of knowledge and methods I will certainly be taking additional course with these guys.

Jesse was a phenomenal instructor he wants you to learn every aspect of owning and using a handgun responsibly I learned many things about the laws that I did not know prior to his class and he went step by step on how to handle a handgun safety and helped me to feel more confident in shooting. I highly recommend his class if you’re interested in getting your carry permit.

This was a very informative class. Jesse was very thorough and did not miss a beat. The material very interesting. After the 16+ hours of class time and range time I grew a great knowledge of the rules and complete respect for a gun. I will defiantly be taking more classes in the near future to enhance what I have already learned. Thank you Jesse! 

 Excellent practical exercises helped improve my performance; timing and accuracy. They were able to point out my grip errors which greatly reduced grouping size. Recommend this type of education and practical training for everyone.
